Getting your images to look great is all about getting smooth, even exposure — not too dark, not too bright, but just right and histograms are the way to get there. But histograms are often overlooked, and most beginner photographers find them intimidating. Don’t worry if you have no idea what one is or you have been avoiding using them, then this is the workshop for you! You will learn how to read your histogram to create properly exposed photographs. We will look at examples of the different forms of histograms that you will see, learn the difference between the two different types of histograms, discuss clipped highlights and shadows, explore highlight indicators, and discuss what it means to ‘expose to the right’. After this workshop you will know exactly how to utilize your histograms information to take your greatest photographs yet.
